Upgrade

Upgrade the software in your BMS controller

Starting from BMS software revision 2.03, you may upgrade the software in your Lithiumate Pro BMS controller by connecting it to a Windows computer and running the Lithiumate Pro GUI application.

(For older revisions of the BMS software, we need to reprogram the BMS controller for you.)

1. Connect your Lithiumate Pro BMS to your computer with a USB cable
2. Run the Lithiumate Pro GUI application
3. Wait for the Lithiumate Pro GUI application to connect to the BMS
4. In the Lithiumate Pro GUI application, in the top right corner, note the software level in your BMS Master
5. In the Lithiumate Pro GUI application, select the "Tools" menu, then the "BMS master software" item, then the "Download..." item; that will open the this page
6. Look in the download upgrade folder
7. Look for the file whose name starts with your present software level (for example, if the present level is 1.01, select upgrade_101_to_103.hex)
8. Save it in your computer's hard drive (right click this link, select "save as...")
9. In the Lithiumate Pro GUI application, select the "Tools" menu, then the "BMS master software" item, then the "Upgrade..." item
10. A dialog will open; browse to the location in your hard drive where you placed the upgrade file, select it and click OK
11. That dialog will close, and a new dialog will open with a progress bar to indicate the upgrade progress
12. When done, close the dialog
