Cell board discharges its cell
A damaged cell board can discharge cells completely in a matter of days or weeks.
If you suspect that that is happening, disconnect one end of the cell board in question, and test it
For this test you need:
- A DVM with a DC Current range
Procedure:
- Place a current meter in the 200 mA range
- Turn off the BMS or disconnect the cable to the BMS controller
- Disconnect one end of the cell board from the cell
- Reconnect the cell board to the cell, but this time through the current meter
- Wait for the LED to stop blinking
- If you see any current, the cell board was damaged by plugging it in backwards
- Place a current meter in the 2 mA range
- If you see any current, the cell board was damaged by plugging it in backwards
