<h1>Bank is missing; no cell board is blinking</h1>

If no cell board blinks, the problem is between the BMS controller and the positive end board

<h2>Set-up</h2>

First you must make sure that, once you fix the problem, the BMS controller is ready to see the bank 
<ul>
	<li>On the terminal, do Home / Set-up / More... / Battery arrangement / Number of cells in each bank / Set manually 
	<li>Use the '&gt;' or '&lt;' keys to go to that bank 
	<li>Enter the number of cells in series in that bank and press Enter 
</ul>

<h2>Procedures</h2>

<ul>
<li>Check the voltage of the most positive cell in the bank: if it's less than 2.0 V, that's the problem 
<li>Check that the bank connector (5 pin) is fully seated in the BMS controller 
<li>Check that the cell board on the most positive end of the bank is actually a positive end board 
<ul>
<li>There is a red dot somewhere on the side of the PCB without components 
<li>On the component side, component OC1 is stuffed, and OC2 is not  
</ul>
<li>Check for proper wiring: 
<ul>
<li>Red wire: 
<ul>
<li>The red wire goes to pin 1 on the 5-pin connector (there's a small triangle embossed on the connector housing) 
<li>The other end of the red wire goes to the round pad on the cell board (pin 2 of a 2-pin connector, if used)  
</ul>
<li>Black wire: 
<ul>
<li>The black wire goes to pin 2 on the 5-pin connector 
<li>The other end of the black wire goes to the square pad on the cell board (pin 1 of a 2-pin connector, if used - there's a small triangle embossed on the connector housing)  
</ul>
</ul>
<li>Check that the red and black wires between the BMS controller and the positive end board are OK 
<ul>
<li>Visually 
<li>By tugging on them 
<li>With an ohmeter  
</ul>
<li>Measure the complete transmit path, through the cable and an LED in the positive end board 
<ul>
<li>Disconnect the bank connector from the BMS controller 
<li>Set a Multimeter in the DIODE position (it must be able to read an LED voltage: at least 1.2 V) 
<li>Make sure the meter works: touch the probes together and check that you see a short circuit 
<li>On the flat side of the 5-pin connector, connect the red probe through the small hole, to the socket to which the red wire is crimped 
<li>Connect the black probe to the socket to which the black wire is crimped 
<li>If you see a short circuit: 
<ul>
<li>Disconnect the 2-pin connector from the positive end board (if no connector, disconnect either the red or black wire) 
<li>See is the short is on the positive end board or across the red and black wires 
<li>If on the cell board, look for a solder bridge across the 2-pin connector; otherwise, replace the board 
<li>If across the red and black wires, look for a loose strand of wire shoring across the wires  
</ul>
<li>If you see a voltage drop of about 1.1 V, the problem is in the positive end cell board: replace it 
<li>If you see an open circuit: 
<ul>
<li>Repeat the test, but this time measuring right on the positive cell board 
<ul>
<li>If you see 1.1 V, the problem is the wiring to the cell board: use the procedure above to find the broken wire or bad crimp 
<li>If you still see an open circuit, the problem is in the positive end board: replace it
